Permed Hair

We do not advise using Hairprint if you are continuing to perm your hair.

Perms use strong chemicals to break the sulfide bonds in the hair so that it can be reshaped. The hair is damaged during this process, becoming porous, dry and fragile. Porous hair takes in too much color if you apply Hairprint, causing the hair to be darker than your natural color.

Hairprint may also relax the curl of the perm, because the natural pigments created during the Hairprint process are proteins which strengthen the hair.

If you have permed your hair in the past and have decided to discontinue this practice, please wait at least 8-10 weeks before applying Hairprint.
